A smaller amount of pictures for this week, despite the great number and the quality of the photographs you have uploaded. Many new members have shown up.
We shall then make it simple and have the pictures one after another. An image is worth a thousand words!
But, before I start, I would like to thank particularly Amandine Lafond for her peculiar photos that she uploaded, and continues doing!
A Boeing 747-400 and an A330-200 with KLM colours:
The Patrouille de France, in flight:
A BAC One Eleven visiting Toulouse-Blagnac:
And finally, the An-225 taken by night:
I hope you have liked our selection, and see you in seven days, for our weekly Screeners' Choice!
I guess you have often wondered where a photograph took a photograph that you love. Pictaero.com now provides you with an answer, using the pictures' positioning system!
It has been available for a number of weeks, during the upload procedure and we have finally issued the precise location where the photo was taken! If the photographer has given the data while uploading his picture, a "Shot location" link will show up on the picture's page. Then, you may click on it and a map will open with the location where the shot was taken!
For instance, let us take the Boeing 737 of Hapag-Lloyd taken by Marc-André VEILLARD: Simply click here !
Our system will enable an automatic photographs' positioning: Some of the latest cameras have an in-made GPS that stores the place where the photo was taken. If that data is kept within the picture, it will automatically be saved. Simple and quick !
We strongly advise you to provide people with hat information! Besides, some new useful and free devices based on that option are going to be online very soon!
Do not hesitate to send us your comments regarding this option and the way we are offering it to you. You can also give us any idea, ways of improving it ...
200 photos this week!! It is getting better and better!
I have decided to divide our choice into four different parts (four and a half in fact!).
First of all, here is a picture of the A380 delivery and her departure to Singapore on Tuesday October 16th, late at night.
Then, let's have a look at a few Airbus, either in commercial service or still undergoing tests, such as an A330-200 due to be delivered to Hainan Airlines.
Before passing to the next category, I just wanted to show you Jet Airways newest ATR72, bearing is new colours.
After Airbus, the competitor from accross the pond, Boeing.
And last but not least, a few magnificent "Warbirds"; a Dewoitine D-27 and a TBM-3 Avenger.
Not that bad for the week! Many thanks for all your contributions, and please do not hesitate to leave comments and tell us what your favourite pictures would have been!
See you on next Monday for Pictaero's Screeners' Choice!
More than 170 photos were uploaded last week! This sets a record, but we hope to break it by next Sunday!
We really had a real variety last week.
We may begin with general aviation and bizjets this week!
First of all, a rare aircraft: a Transat Aerolac MD 03! Never heard of it before? I hadn't either until I saw the picture! Many thanks to Antonio for the photograph!
Then, a Yak52, a Pitts S-1 and a Beech 200.
Right, a few A380 pictures now right before the first delivery of the aircraft to Singapore Airlines for its commercial entry in service! To view all the pictures for MSN021's convoy, click here
Finally, Airbus planes, a 747 et a Do-328! For instance, a Czech Republic A319ACJ came to Toulouse on October 9th!
That's all we have got this week. We hope to have even more pictures to view for next week, including photos fromthe A380 delivery in our weekly Screeners' Choice!
