04-25-2008: second UPDATE:
Marc-A Veillard (many thanks!) has just sent two photos of two different A320-100s that were not on the databse: MSN 8 - G-BUSC; the first British Airways A320-100 on Pictaero; and MSN 14 - F-GFKD, an other Air France A320-100!
Pictures can be viewed below, in the list!
04-25-2008: UPDATE:
Jean-Marc D. has just sent us a photo of MSN 2 - F-GFKQ which I have added to the list below!
Other members sent us their pictures of Air France A320-100s! The database is filling up! Only a few are missing! Well done to you all!!
04-20-2008: UPDATE:
Claude de St Etienne sent us A320-100 photos that have just been accepted. Among them, the 7000th photo on Pictaero. Have a look at it below; it is F-GGEB - MSN 12.
Besides, MSN 3 - F-GGEG was sold to the United States on April 16th; it is no longer active with Air France.
04-17-2008: UPDATE:
many thanks to Guillaume for sending two photos of MSN 5 - F-GFKA .
I shall add a link to them below.
Last week, as I was at Toulouse airport, I saw an Air France A320 afar, without her tail, engines and completely hidden ... it was in fact F-GGEF (MSN 4).
So, I then looked up on Pictaero.com to check if there were "traces" of that aircraft, which will unfortunately never see the sky any longer. There was one: I would like to thank Claude de St Etienne for that shot.
Then, I thought that those first A320s, known as A320-100, would have their lives ended soon. I was glad to see that there was quite a number of them on Pictaero ... here is a list of all twenty-one of them, with a picture whenever the plane is on Pictaero's database!
Of course, "Bravo Alpha" is and will be Airbus's prototype for all testing, with new IAE engines at the moment for instance.
Air France (and Air inter formerly) has operated 15 planes:
Eventually, British Airways has operated five A320-100. Unfortunately, only one of them currently is on Pictaero.
The list is over. Now, that is where you play your part! Your pictures will fill the gaps in the list. Those planes don't have much time left before they are stored and stop flying. It would really be a pity to miss them! That's why I count on you to send your photos, be it old or recent, and we will update the list in some time from now.
Beware! Here comes Mr "always-on-time"
Amazing to write the article on a Monday evening!!!
This week, you'd better like airliners!!!! Among the ten pictures that were chosen, half of them are airliners. Therefore, I guess the best is to start with thos which are not airliners! And first of all, I would like to express once more my love of Post-WW2 aircraft. Today, a T-28 Fennec:
Then, I have two Mirage 2000, a Hercules and a Tornado!
Right, now, here are the airliners. First of all, A320s and a purple 757! And actually, regarding A320s, I will write an article within the week, asking for pictures of yours ... I will tell you more in a few days!
Eventually, bigger ones: an exotic A330 and a Singapore Airlines A380, at dusk!
So, see you within the week for our next article, and you will have our next weekly Screeners' Choice on next Monday.
There you go! I am not late this week (almost)! Let us then start with two photos of a Dassault Super Mystère B2:
Then, more "conventional" aircraft; A320, CRJ, Avro RJ and 737:
Next are smaller planes. A TB-30, a Yak-18 and a C-295:
Before we finish, here is an Il-76, which came to Toulouse-Blagnac airport, taken at dusk (by myself ):
Eventually, a CSA DC-3 Dakota, shown at Prague:
I hope you liked it as much as we did. So, I shall see you on next Monday for our weekly Screeners' Choice.
Good God! I have to admit that I forgot the weekly Screeners' choice last Monday (it was Easter Monday!); probably due to Easter chocolate eggs!!!
Whatever, we are back ... with only few pictures ... of airliners! The A380 alone (once again) stands with a good number.
Before I start, I would like to congratulate Jonathan and Amandine for their photo!
So, quite a few military planes this week:
Finally, A380s ... always a must-see!
That's about it then. I will try to be on time next time! Anyway, my Easter eggs were all eaten; no more excuse! See you on next Monday then for our weekly Screeners' Choice.
Unlike most of the time, I am going to show you a single very peculiar aircraft, registered JA8962, belonging to All Nippon Airways.
Unfortunately, for a reason that is totally unknown to me, this ANA Boeing 747-400 that had a very special colour scheme was re-painted with ANA's "normal" colours... So, in her memory, here are a few pictures!
Many thanks to Emmanuel P. to share it with us ... We arel still being kids after all
