This morning, between 9am and 11am, we had to perform a heavy network maintenance.
To be able to welcome many more users, and as fast as possible, we are trying to set up a new technical architecture within the coming weeks (the precise date will be given shortly).
So as to prepare the maintenance in the best conditions, we had to perform technical changes on certain sensitive points, such as picture management.
Unfortunately, an error was made during the maintenance. We had to suspend the picture upload temporarily until 11:30am CET (10:30am UTC).
We would like to apologize for that interruption. As you know, we are trying to do our best to restore the website's access, for you to enjoy great service amongst us.
You may encounter some error messages during the next 24 hours (especially while viewing photos), but do not pay attention to them. That is part of this morning's operation.
We will keep you informed when we plan on changing the technical structure in the coming weeks.
Yet another long week-end and I am being late once again! I might be even later than Airbus is with their A380 delayed deliveries!
In my basket this week are airliners and a few rare planes, a few decades old!
So, here are two aircraft from the French Air Force; a Mirage IIIC flying over the Mediterranean Sea and a C-135F with its former cigar-shaped engines!!
Complete change of atmosphere now with shots taken at Biscarosse 12th International Air Show. Shown here is Jean-Jacques Lörtscher's yellow Twin Bee and the Cessna Caravan that flew all week-end!
Now, before I show you the rest, here are three pictures by Claude de Saint Etienne who is leaving us; he is moving in the Centre of France and will not be able to go to Paris-Orly any longer. However, we wish him a peaceful life there, but we still hope to see him round occasionally!
Eventually, classical aircraft: an A310 being scrapped, an An-12 et a fully-red Britten-Norman BN-2!
See you on next Monday for our weekly Screeners' Choice (if I am not late).
The week-end was longer than I thought and I got a little late. I thought I was still on holiday!!! And spending my time by the beach, at Biscarosse in France for the 12th International Seaplane Air Show, was an extraordinary experience!
Anyway, I'd better stop bothering you with my stories ... Here comes this week's choice. Luckily, it is rather varied: fewer airliners actually.
First of all, two superb shots of a Yak-3, based and registered in France.
Then, here is a photo of Iren Dornier Project's Do-24 ATT, Claudius Dornier's grandson, together with UNICEF; the flying boat was at Biscarosse too, along with myself:
Right, I can show you bigger ones now: A Piaggio Avanti and an A319:
Finally, have to show you the large planes! Amongst them, one of the A380 prototypes, which should end her career very soon:
That's all for the week. The air show season has just started. We hope to see your pictures in the weeks and the months to come! And see you on next Monday for our weekly Screeners' Choice.
Sorry, I know I am late! I am moving to a new apartment, here is this week's choice!
See you next MOnday for a longer article in our weekly Screeners' Choice.
You'd better like airliners this week! More than the previous week, there are almost only airliners, except an Alphajet and an EC-145 ... even military aircraft are militarised airliners (the C135 for instance!).
So, here is what we have chosen!
First of all, the A380 show of the week:
Not to forget that MSN 9 - F-WWEA is to end her career as a test plane and will be moved to the Assembly Line and will later be delivered ... MSN 8 - F-WWSE is to be Singapore Airlines' fourth A380, and her final registration shall be 9V-SKD.
Then, still wide-bodies with 777s!
Downscaling now with a Lufthansa A321, with the airline's former colour scheme. Then, a Fokker 50 and Airbus A320 prototype.
Here are now the military planes; among them is a Dornier Do-31 that is stored in Germany at the Deutsches Museum.
Eventually, some team members have chosen photos of an EC-145 of the French Civil Security; those shots were taken by Jonathan D.!
That's it! See you on Monday for our next Screeners' Choice.
