History:

• Based in Marseille, Axis Airways is founded in 1999. In its beginnings, it flies express cargo flights. However in 2001, it operates its first charter flight thanks to a B737-200. To develop its passengers and cargo businesses, two Boeing B737-300QC joined the fleet in 2002.
• In 2003, the company adds two BAe 146-200 coming from the defunct AirJet
• In 2004, Axis increases its charter activities with the addition of two Boeing B737 and one B757-200.
• In 2006 in spite of the arrival of a new shareholder, Prado Finance, the company files bankruptcy. It is bought in December and get airborne again under the name of New Axis airways. However, the fleet is reduced to two aircraft, one B737-300QC and one B737-400.
• In september 2007, the company announces its first scheduled flight linking Marseille and Tel Aviv (x2 weekly)
